There seem to be an ongoing issue with door locking (allowing access) as well as computersecurity. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, and neighbors, kids and friends enter doors and use computers they are not supposed to. I find this incredibly annoying!
Is the build-in door locking system going to be fixed, or should I install a mod?

I've been noticing this for some time. It works for certain sims, not others. "Lock everything" will keep one sim in, one sim out, but another sim in the house just strolls in. Funnily enough, it functions just fine in dorms/student housing. If I unlock and relock enough times it will eventually stick, but there is definitely something strange going on.
Have you locked the door for everybody first and then allowed access for the ones you want to get in?

Yes I have, I learned this when searching for a solution. I lock for everybody, and then allow access to one on the list, but after that another just strolled casually in.
There are lots of options in door locking, but no real explanation on how they work.

Yes I have noticed that too, so I believe there must be some bug in the code, so I actually thought this was the place for bug-reports, but I guess not.
