Dust not enought frequent

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.70.84.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Journey to Battu.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Playing the game.
What happens when the bug occurs? Dust does not appear on everyday like it used to and was the point of buying the pack.
What do you expect to see? Dust being like they promess us the normal/neutral state of a house, and being seen every 24 hours a least. NOT EVERY 4 DAYS!!!
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Occured after the bunk bed patch.

I wish there was a way to satisfy everyone, because I bought this pack with the intention to bring some challenge to my gameplay, it was easy and not a real challenge (even doing a lot more thing than just cleaning by the way, in case someone would like to insult me by saying that I play a boring way, and does nothing with my sims...), but sure it made it a little hard to keep up on cleaning, but after all, the new feature presented us the new normal state of a house, being dusty, nothing bad there. I loved it, and I found myself using it a lot and felt like it was worth the money, but now  there is no more challenge, neither fun or use to this pack... It tooks litteraly 4 days before to see just a little bit of dust, three sims and one cat in the house, also seeing my sims being inspired constantly because of the clean floor (for 4 days). I dont approve, Whats the point to buy a pack if you will nerf the main feature to almost inexistant.

So short story I demand a renerf to make it more dusty quickly, at least every 24 hours...

  • @Francoisf30 Oh please no lol. The way it was before in my 3 story house (basement, first floor, second floor) the basement was dusty like 90% of the time. Before I would even get to the top floor I would need to start dusting all over again before it was all cleaned. I had a Servo and a Utility Bot dusting constantly to the point where I would have the bot dusting while everyone was sleeping and then Servo would repair the bot and then Servo was cleaning and dusting all day. It was too frequent before. I welcome this change. I still get dust bunnies and little piles of dust popping up but not like an entire floor all at once. I feel the cleaning still is there.

@Bearpal64 I second this. Previously, my sims didn’t do anything besides vacuuming because their house would get dirty like 1 hour after I vacuumed everything. The dust accumulation we currently have is good and quite realistic. If it ever reverts, I’ll have to disable the kit again.

    Hey there!

Thank you for your feedback on the dust frequency. I moved your thread to the General Discussion board. 🙂

  • I can certainly appreciate wanting what you want.  Personally, I did not get the dust kit mainly because there are so many things my sims could be doing instead of dusting all day.  Then I saw all the complaints about how intense it was and knew I had made the right decision.  I don't like dusting IRL and sims is my escape, sooo ... no thanks.  If that makes me a baby, so be it.  I don't know if it's even feasible but maybe this could be fixed by adding some code to offer players different levels of dustiness.  It could be kind of like difficulty levels in other games; "novelty dust", "more than just spring cleaning dust", and "I can't tell if my house has a floor anymore dust".  Just a thought.
