It’s quite clear that early access is NOT allowed, pursuant to the updated policy. But, many people will refuse to accept this until EA explicitly states “you cannot do early access”. People are either incapable or unwilling to understand the policy as written, so I think this does need to be stated explicitly here (even though I’ve seen this clarified by RA already).
sort of, the issue with the EA help is they are giving different answers depending on the staff that answers. So still no clear line. While I 100% agree with you on entire thing. I did go to accounting school. The excuse they are trying to use is that early access is not a purchase but a donation or testing. By law a transaction with exchange product or service is a transaction. EA states clearly no transactions. EA covered the donation as well with statement, must be able obtain regardless of donation or not. So that's not valid either.
Ahhh but the tester, that could be valid if any of them were smart enough but they arent. In order be tester, can only have tiers labeled specifically for testing. Cannot give full products must keep some sort of logging of testers and results etc. THEN they could charge for a tier group. As stands ... they will simply continue to argue and keep them up until a statement if made. In the end of the day what's the point of the TOS change then?- @MagiCornPrincess Yep, I reached out to EA via their contact page about the issue and the response I got was to make a forum post. Been told is allowed, Been told isnt allowed, Been told according privacy they will look into matter but not tell me anything, Been giving directions about "modding" can harm game?? Been offered support on purchasing games???? Yeah
And as can see in this thread still no word from EA themself. I have it in simscummunity too.. no answer... Asked direct to Gurus .. no answers but answering questions before4 and after mine in same personal page thread...
