New update texture issues
My current game was fine before the update. The update removed and broke all my cc. I do not use script mods, only items and cas items. I applied the hotfix and while most came back, they came back wrong. All of my cc hair textures look fine in CAS. When you get to playing the game however, the texture is gone and looks like something from a Playstation 1. Color gone, texture gone. And they have very obvious hair line issues. A few of my EA items have changed their colors in builds and on Sims as well. For example, I had red cowboy boots on one of my sims and now they're gray. I had a blue patterned couch in the living room that is now a basic blue. Etc. I tried to add a screenshot but it would seem the forums are being glitchy too.
Conflicting Block Clusters - Nightmare
Hi. Recently got back into Sims 4 to try and design a real home for a story. But I ended up with two homes, split in two, because one is slightly raised, and other is not. I've searched for a tutorial online, for that simple house, it made sense, I am trying something a little more complex. Why not just join the walls and call it even ? Or select halfwalls so it equals the same amount along the top of the height of the adjoining building to be the same house. I don't understand, it's a massive set back to move EVERYTHING out of the way, just to do that weird bug with having various platform parts of a house. A simple house, makes sense - but this one I'm building, I'm still building it, and this really ticked me off. Can a Dev/Admin send help or a patch please ? Going insane. P.S. I don't know if there is an option, but the condensed menu where I have to scroll until I find something compared to seeing the entire build menu selection but stragging out or draging down the window would help too. Very tired, - C
Shiny Sims What to do??
Hi everyone I’ve been dealing with a very frustrating issue in The Sims 4 where some of my Sims suddenly get a shiny / plastic looking effect on their entire body/Face. What makes this especially confusing is that the effect seems to come and go randomly depending on zoom level, camera angle, lighting, or sometimes for no obvious reason at all. What I’ve already tried: Removed all broken / red CC that Tray Importer listed me Removed all makeup, jewelry, and accessories one by one for testing No skin overlays are applied on the particular sim Cleared cache multiple times (localthumbcache.package, etc.) Adjusted graphics settings (post processing on/off) Better Exceptions reports no errors The worst part ist it is completely random sometimes it appears after an hour sometimes 2 minute after i reloaded the save, Sometimes not always it appears and disappear when zooming in and out So what should i do? i have over 7000 CC tried the 50/50 method but since this bug appears randomly it's very hard to figure it out also i have 20 families in my neighbourhood it might be that the shiney effect on them is triggered by something else then the sim before them this....
my game updated and now textures wont load
so i updated my game, and i have NO MODS i only have the expansion packs and stuff packs and stuff like that, but now my packs wont load, i bought my packs off steam and the EA shop, when i loaded in after updateing my steam packs were not downloaded at all so i had to re-download them all, then when i finally thought i could play all my textures and save files were courrupted, showing the missing texture thing, and all my female sims are red and white and no textures load on them, please please please help me. idk what to do, i have no mods and ive never downloaded a mod in my life and i just dont know how to fix this, i dont even know if i have a backup folder. please please please help. and also many times on steam it says the game file was locked when i was updating, idk if thats on your side or steams but i just need help. PLEASE.Royalty and Legacy Dress Discolored
One of the new dresses with royalty and legacy is discolored. I'm not sure of the name of the dress, but it has short but puffy sleeves with a glittery corset. The light blue swatch looks fine in case but in live mode, the whole skirt is black. I have no mods or custom content, and the dress looked fine a week or so ago in the same swatch in the same save. Really disappointing considering how much the new pack costs. I play on PC.
