I wonder if a complete reinstall of the game is in order. I know this is tedious and to me a last resort kinda thing but if you had messed up installations, it might be best.
- Backup your user files
- Uninstall the steam and ea app version. If you can, it might be best to use a tool like revo uninstaller.
- Make sure you have no sims installation files left in either your steam folder or the Sims installation folder
- Reinstall the game.
Hey Crinrict
I completely removed all the files and reinstalled everything. I also made sure to select the install folder for the EA to be in the same location as the Steam, that way when I launch via steam all of the dlc's get loaded directly from the same folder.
This seams to have done the trick. I started a new save and everything seems to be functioning again.
Thanks so much for all your help

HI Siren_Fox
moved this to gameplay for now then. Let me know if you have further issues.
Did you put back your save yet and does that also work ?
junoandmars What steps have you taken yet ? Did you never use mods/cc or remove them ?

Yes, so far so good on everything.
Thanks again for the advice

Hi crinrict ,
I'm having the same issue right now. After months of not being able to play with fairies (because I had the mod “Zulf_Kids Can Perform Spell Magic” installed), now they can't use fairy powers at all.
I'm pretty sure this is caused by a mod, because when I tested the game without mods, everything worked fine.
Do you have any recommendations on what I should do? Do you know which type of mod could cause this?- crinrict27 days agoHero+
Hi MSomsnosa
best to check the list in the mods forum and ask there. I don't have much clue what mod causes what. There's folks that know way better than me.
