Hi @sofiasbuilds ! That sounds like you have Lumpinou's lotharihoe's mod Waste Management Overhaul. How the mod works is that it adds the lot trait to every Residential lot and then an actual Sim comes regularly to get your garbage. The mod doesn't let you remove the trait, on purpose.
If you don't want this mod's features anymore, removing the mod should make is so you can then remove the lot trait.
Hi @luthienrising 🙂
I don’t have that mod, I had a different mod from Lumpinou years ago but I’ve never had that one, only the ones mentioned above and also TwistedMexi’s TOOL and BetterBuildBuy, some of the mods I used to have recently, at least the ones from Simrealist, do affect lot traits so maybe that could have something to do with it but I don’t know enough about how modding works to know if that could have corrupted an existing save even when all mods are removed and mods disabled.

Try the following
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Be aware that your claimed event rewards will also be gone for the time being but you will get them back with your other things.
- Close the game again
- Copy JUST your save game from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old\Saves to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Saves
- Start your save
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
