[ECO] Teen Sims can't Mess Around after buying/selling the Dumpster
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.106.148.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them except Kits.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Step 1: Move in a Teen Sim into a Tiny Residential Lot. The Lot should have at least a Double Bed. Step 2: Buy the Dumpster Item form Eco Living Expansion Pack in Build/Buy Mode. Step 3: Have the Teen Sim be in a Romantic Relationship, enough to ask another Teen Sim to Mess Around. Step 4: They will go to Mess Around in the Dumpster. Step 4: After the Interaction ends, sell the Dumpster in Build/Buy Mode. I should also mention that the Dumpster was also overflowing with accumulated Trash before I sold it. Step 5: The option to Mess Around with the other Teen Sim will disappear and clicking Mess Around on Double Beds will do nothing. Step 6: Travel to another Lot that has no Dumpsters with both Teen Sims and the option to Mess Around will appear and the Teen Sims will also Mess Around in Double Beds again. However, they won't be able to Mess Around again if they return to the original Lot.
What happens when the bug occurs? Teens will be unable to Mess Around on the Lot, which used to have a Dumpster on it.
What do you expect to see? Teens still have the option to Mess Around when you click on them and also succesfully Mess Around when clicking on Double Beds, regardless if the Lot used to have a Dumpster on it or not.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
As the title says, after I bought the Dumpster from Eco Living on my Sims Families' Tiny Residential House, my Teen Sim always prioritized it when I initiated Mess Around on another Teen Sim. So I decided to sell it. I should also mention that the Dumpster was also overflowing with accumulated Trash before I sold it. After I sold it, suddenly my Teen Sim no longer had the option to initiate Mess Around when clicking on another Teen Sim. Additionally, said Teen Sim could also no longer Mess Around in Double Beds on the same Lot. However, they could Mess Around on other Lots, which didn't have the Dumpster on them but returning to the original Lot didn't fix the issue. I replicated this both with a Modded and a Mod-Free game and the issue persisted in both versions.
Edit By Crinrict: Added Tag to Title. Please see this for more information on adding pack tags to your title.
Ok, so I just created a new Save File. I tested it on both a Tiny Residential and a normal Residential and there were no issues. I guess the issue only exists in my old save file. However, I did manage to fix this issue by simply moving my Household into another Lot. I tested this by moving into both a normal and Tiny Lot and worked both times.
