Elder expansion pack

I know this is kind of strange for a newbie to ask, but anyway, I do really love The Sims 4 Game; however somehow, I feel that there are limited stuffs to get our hands on to things when our characters grow old.

Yeah, of course, we could set the settings to let the character age slower, but wouldn't that be great if there was an expansion pack that allows our avatars to enjoy their life in another way?

Stair Lift?

There could be stair lifts to build in the house, which allows avatars to climb up the stairs without the danger of falling off from it?Or even better if the limitation is removed for building an elevator only for dorms or penthouses?

Glassed Elevator?

Maybe a glassed elevator? I don't know if it is just me or others as well, somethings it feels like the texture of elevators in City Living pack is too...cold? Or too serious. So... just a thought, a glassed elevator may be an excellent idea for the pack?

Disability/wheelchair ramp?

I figured some senior citizens in the Sims world may need some help getting through the stairs in front of the front door? Which a disability ramp may come in handy, and wouldn't it be great to give out a hand to those who can't?

Sorry for just coming out for only these three ideas, I do really think to put these features will make the game more interesting and bring it closer to life. I do hope to see other ideas in the replies!

@luoruoli_0126, many of us would love for more for our elderly Sims to do! 🙌 I personally am upset that even athletic Sims can't really exercise when they become seniors! 😞 I wish they would at least give us a gentle exercise like tai chi for them to do!

I think an elevator would be the easiest to achieve in the game, as a stair lift might require more animations.  The stair lift would also be difficult to make work on the configurable stairs, depending on how tight the turns are on certain stair configurations. 🤔  And we need real elevators anyway! 😉

Personally, I love glass elevators, and would love having them in the game! 😎

One of the reasons that a lot of people voted on the knitting theme for the Community Vote Stuff Pack this time is because knitting was something that the elderly can take up as a hobby.  Although people of all ages enjoy knitting and crocheting in real life, seniors have more spare time to devote to the craft!   🥳

@Rae_Regenbogen, good question!!!💡🙌  I haven't tried either that I remember, as most of my athletic Sims are more into jogging or weightlifting.  Yoga can be strenuous, but it can also be gentle.  I personally only had one elderly person in my yoga class I took years ago, but I know of a senior citizen who loves her tai chi and says that quite a lot of elderly people are in her class, so that might be why I didn't think of yoga and just automatically thought of tai chi.😃

I don't remember if I ever tried yoga with elders in the game.🤔  I'm thinking again that if I did then it is possible that it was still too strenuous for them and that I never tried it again,  But it is very likely that I never tried it.
We both will gave to give it a try!  Hopefully they can do it! 🤞

Being dragged by my own mom in real life to do yoga for some years, the class she always took was filled with middle-aged to elders. IRL, yoga is very versatile. There are all kinds from rejuvenation classes - very gentle yoga. Fairly regular classes that enter the practice of known poses. You'd see signs like, Beginner's class on [Date]. Then you could shift to more advanced classes as you got into it. Others are those very strenuous ones that really fit those who would usually be focused on more physical, cardiovascular or muscle building sports. All through out it is not about competition or getting perfect. It is about bettering the body, mind and soul.

From what I have seen of the Sims 4 yoga, it may very well fit the bill. I'd say when your active Sim gets to mid-adult to elder, see if you can change their active trait to wellness. The times I was dragged to yoga all sorts of people began doing it for health related problems of all spectrum. Some of them were huge on contact/team sports whose muscles were wound so tight that what would be a simple stretch for some was strenuous for them.

    'Shame I didn't have the Spa Day pack back when I first joined this board. I didn't have that option, so I had to use the teleport cheat to get my poor elder sim to a hot, soaking bath to make sure she didn't die on me. ;_;

@Player_jp5s5eav, true, there are different types of yoga.  The most strenuous version I know of is "hot yoga" where you do poses in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees! 😮😞🤒  Sounds more like torture! 😃

I'm glad you were able to get your elder Sims into the bath with a cheat since you didn't have a teleport option at the time!😉  Thanks for that story! 🙌

@luoruoli_0126@Player_jp5s5eav , and @Rae_Regenbogen , I did a test with an Elder couple who had the Athletic trait to see if Yoga was too strenuous for them.  So far it seems like it isn't! 🙌  I need to test some more, though, to see if yoga satisfies the athletic activity craving that Athletic Sims get.  It seems to have worked so far, but I haven't tested for long enough to be sure, and the fact that Yoga is technically a Wellness skill and not an Athletic skill might make a difference. 💡🤔
