Forum Discussion
Hi all,
This is my first post on this forum. I've googled loads to see the death time period of an elder sim. Most websites have stated 48 hours after the bubbles appear, and those (like my elder) with the 'Long Lived' trait will last about 2 weeks. Well... for my elder it's been about 5-6 weeks now and he's still kicking... I've got it set to the 'Long' lifespan and the Auto Age is set to 'Only Active Household' As my family has 3 generations living in this household - he's living with his daughter, SIL, and two grandkids - it's getting a bit hectic to manage them all so I mainly take care of the 4 sims and let him do whatever he wants as he's retired.
Basically it's got to the point where even my fiance IRL is asking if grandad is dead yet, haha. Anyone else experienced this or something similar? I've got the seasons pack and we've basically gone through an entire year and he's still alive which is why I know it's been 5-6 weeks since he got old...
I play on the PS4 too, so I'm wondering if it's different between PC to console as that can happen between games.
Speak soon!
With the long life trait it's different with each sim once I had an elder with the long life trait that only lived an extra week another time I had one with the long life and athletic trait and he lived an extra month in real life time. Does your elder sim have the athletic trait by any chance.

@Rachelharris31 That's interesting to know. I didn't give him the fitness perk, his SIL does have it though, so good to know for the future...
@CGrant56 I haven't heard of the death scented flower. I'll have to do some googling and see if I can find some information on it. Is it from a particular expansion or pack?

Look at Carl's site for the details. Sorry, can't post links here.
It comes with Seasons. You make a flower arrangement and scent it with a death flower.
