Is anyone else having a problem when trying to edit, build or play any of the families in Willow Creek? I'm not sure if this is an ongoing issue but I tried to download a building from my Library to...
I noticed the same thing when I went to look at the property next to it. It never used to show the original house on that lot so I don't know what's happened? When I went to download the new house onto the lot I just went straight into my library clicked on the new house that I wanted to download and went straight over the top of my existing property. I've done this in the past and it's always worked for me but this time it got stuck in a loop on the building screen for 20+ minutes. I had no way of exiting the game when that happened so I did a ctrl-alt-delete and cancelled out of the game and then went back in and tried to edit the lot from Manage worlds and that's when I got the Error Code: 800. I should point out that I hadn't saved the game at this stage but after endless tries of cancelling out of the game and trying different things I gave up and went to play one of my other Sim families and that's when I did a save. The error happened way before any save was done so I'm wondering if the error had been there for quite some time and I just hadn't noticed because I very rarely play Willow Creek anymore.
What I think I might have to do now is make a copy of my buildings and families and start a new game. It's obviously a corrupted save so it could spread like you said and I don't want to lose access to any of the other lots. Better to be safe than sorry.
Unfortunately I don't have any earlier saves of my game so I won't have any choice but to start a new one. It's my own silly fault for not backing up. I always used to save 2 games when it came to Sims 3 because of all the issues but this is the first time I have ran into anything serious with Sims 4. Lesson learned!
Thank you so much for taking a look at it for me Crin I really appreciate it! Thanks also for passing the information on to QA. I guess I am just going to have to cop this one on the chin and backup in future. It would have been nice to have a happy ending but these things happen unfortunately. I hope you have a great day and thanks again for all of your help! 😃
I'm having the same problem as you but with the "Aconite Mansion" lot in Forgotten Hollow.
This is a new game with no CC or mods.
Every time I starts a new game first I edit all neighborhoods with new lots and families. But this is especifically lot corrupted somehow later after playing for a bit.
WH (What Happens): When I enter in the lot for the first time the messase "Error code 800..." appear and the game automatically go to the menu screen of neighborhoods. On the second time the message doesn't appear but the game stays in a endless loading screen.
THINGS I TRIED:
1 - I tried to move a new family to there and had no sucess. WH
2 - I moved Vatore family out of there but the error persists too. WH
3 - Editing lot didn't work. WH
4 - I tried to put another lot from outside but didn't worked. WH
* Yes. The game crashed in Magnolia Promenade some times (Emporium lot). It happened after I put some Sims to live in there.
* I always save when finishes each neighborhood. So if I finish Oasis Spring with lots and Sims for example, so save. It's always being a new save game since I started to put new lots and Sims, so never overwrite.
anyone found a fix? I have lost 2 saves to the error 800. With and without mods too. It always starts with Willow Creek and the park. The whole world lots will disappear
