ERROR with "Cancel Maid Service"

No mods.

Moving my Sim out, and moving her back in worked.  Thanks so much!!

I am having the same issue. I tried moving them out and then back in and that didn't help. I have tried to cancel the Gardener but I can't. 

I don't have any CC or Mods in my game. 

@Jacqpinks  Also, look in the sims queue when you give them the order to cancel the gardener service, and see if your sim have any other action after that, in queue; that either you ordered them to do, or they chose to autonomously.

I am not using any mods/cc in my game and the solution of moving the Sim out and back via the household manager didn't work for me. 

I noticed my Sim always wanted to do something else (like juggling, making a snowpal, etc.) exactly after talking on the phone when cancelling the maid service so it can't be completed, so I thought it had something to do with my Sim's autonomy. 

The solution that worked for me was to go to Game menu -> Game Options -> Gameplay -> Autonomy OFF -> Apply Changes and then attempted the "Cancel Maid Service" option again and it finally worked and got cancelled.

Try this out! Maybe it will work for others, too.
