Event invitation problem

Is there a way to locate "old" invitations to events? Or is the only option to attend the popup window?

Here's what happened:

I got an invitation to a charity event, and as I went to click on it, I suddenly got another invitation to a talent showcase. I closed the talent showcase invitation, but the charity invite was gone. It all happened so fast (literally within seconds) that I didn't even see where the charity event was being held. I checked my calendar, and the talent showcase (a public event) is listed there, but alas, my private invitations are not added to my calendar, I guess. (That would be one easy way to deal with this).

I suspect there's no other way to access the charity invite and go to the event 😠 which is just stupid.

I googled around and couldn't find anyone else having this exact problem, but I gotta say: not impressed. Event invitations are an annoyance 99% of the time anyway, and now that I finally want to accept one, the invite gets "overwritten" and just disappears?

Anyone else having this problem? Any suggested solutions? Thanks all 🙂

Invitations to various places is a random event and if you do not respond in time or just don't answer at all they are just dropped. You can just ask the person on a date yourself.

It wasn't a date though. It was a celebrity charity event. ☹️ And the problem isn't that I didn't respond in time or didn't answer - the problem is that another invitation to a different event immediately after it - it came literally seconds later - "overwrote" the first invitation.

Even though you could not answer in time it still is a no answer.

You can also create your own event and invite who you like.

I get that that's technically what's happening. But it shouldn't happen like that. It completely obviates the benefit of an invitation when one invitation overwrites the other, especially since it came virtually on top of the first invitation.

And while I can create my own event, from an immersion perspective it completely ruins the idea of being invited as a celebrity.

So it's just disappointing, because it's bad implementation of a supposed game feature.

It seems to me that the devs could pretty easily implement a feature fix/improvement by adding event invitations to the calendar. So that's my suggested solution, I guess.
