Event Missing???

It says all over the internet and the EA Sims page that "The Lost Legacies Event" is supposed to end on the 16th/today and that it is still running until a certain time today- i dont have any mods that would remove the event or effect UI or similar things at all. Why is the event gone early??? This sucks. I had the event earlier and havent changed anything to my game. I havent had time to play again until today and was about to bust through the entire event before the next game update but now its gone and i cant.
