While good suggestions it may be hard to implement. There are different length of life that can be chosen. And there are things that affect the time between birthdays such as fitness and the game adds a random number of days to each created Sim.
@canelacaliente In addition to what @jpkarlsen stated there aso should be a choice of which Sims birthday you would like to have on the calendar. Most of my Sims have done the friend of the world aspiration and have numerous friends. When all his friends' birthdays would appear on the Sims calendar it would clog up the calendar as well as the system. There would probably be no place left for festivals and events.
So, while I do like the idea, it would be also a promising idea to be able to choose the friends for this calendar event.
Have fun playing. 😉

@Trismagistos Have you looked at the calendar? It handles how birthdays, festivals, workdays, etc are displayed very well. The calendar would not be clogged or run out of space.
- There is also a filter to show the events you want to see versus the events you don't want to see.
- The birthday section is separate from the holidays and events section and it is very compact.
- The calendar uses icons when multiple things occur on a single day. You can mouse over the icon to see what is going on.

I really appreciate your question @canelacaliente. And, yes, I did look at the calendar! But I think you are not getting the point I am trying to get across. I have noticed that you play with a seven-day season. I play with a twenty-eight-day season. The longest Sim year in a game with the Seasons EP will last 4x28 days = 106 days. The shortest 4x7 = 28 days. These settings have little to do with the clogging up
The clogging up has to do with the suggestion you gave about also inserting befriended Sims's birthdays. In your reaction on @jpkarlsen you state that it is easy because of the different lifespans that can be chosen. I have taken the time to put these into a grid.
The lifespan of a Sim is key to this equation. I have chosen the longest lifespan for my Sims. I.e. ca. 440 days for an average Sim. I play a rotational game with 140 Sims in about twenty-five households. These Sims are all family related in a way. Lucky for me I have turned ageing off for the non-played households. This makes it a lot easier. But if I were to turn it on what would happen?
Each Sim will have about six birthdays in its life. No matter which lifespan you choose. But the longer the lifespan the more friends a Sim can make and with the friend of the world trait in combination with the longest lifespan it can add up to over 360 friends. In a household of eight sims not all of them have the same friends but they all use the same household calendar. For the sake of it let's take this number of friends three times for three Sims instead of eight. I.e. over 1080 friends. Take this number times five for the total amount of birthdays is 5400 in a lifespan of these three Sims in the household. Divide this 5400 by 440 (this is the number of days that these sims will live) makes more than twelve birthdays a day for that household. This is what I ment by clogging up and therefore I suggested to make this optional.
I stated 'So, while I do like the idea, it would be also a promising idea to be able to choose the friends for this calendar event.'
Have fun playing. 😉
