Female sim abducted, husband got pregnant
I have a two-sim household, husband Conner and wife Kat. No mods and no CC. I'm on PC. I've Googled and searched Answers HQ with no matches. He's set to can't get pregnant.
- Conner was in the Backyard Observatory when Kat got abducted. I only noticed because I got the achievement for having Sims abducted 3 times. She had the dazed moodlet and has the abducted milestone (apparently she's been abducted twice - poor thing!).
- My camera was on the observatory with Conner inside; there was no abduction animation on my screen.
- Conner came out of the observatory with the "weird tummy ache" moodlet. He'd been alien-pollinated! Alas, he was pregnant. He had a normal alien pregnancy and gave birth to an alien son. He has no milestone for getting abducted.
So - can a male sim get impregnated if someone else in the house gets pregnant? Could he have been abducted from the Observatory and not gotten a milestone or the dazed moodlet? If so, would he have been returned to the inside of the Observatory? Again, there was no animation for abduction.
One other thing to note - I don't know when or to whom the third abduction happened. I only have 4 other played households (2 not played long enough to have been abducted, though I did check their milestones) and one was Kat's previous roommate (though I checked his milestones too). So one milestone didn't get recorded for someone. Still don't know if the "bug" is that Kat got abducted but Conner got pregnant, or that Conner DID get abducted but got no milestone (though abducted at the same time as Kat? and with no animation? and returned to the inside of the observatory?).
While I can't explain exactly why your male got pregnant when the female was abducted, the way the game works is that females can't get pregnant from alien abduction unless you are using mods that allow it. Males can though. Since you're not playing with mods, then only males can get pregnant.
One thing about your description makes me think the male might have been abducted sooner though. That weird tummy ache moodlet doesn't usually show for a day or so after the abduction so my guess is your male got abducted earlier, had the abduction moodlets, and the moodlets wore off before you noticed. For regular pregnancies, that's the way the moodlets work for the females too, they don't show up for about a day or so etiher.
I've had sims get abducted when I was not playing them. I used the Landgraab lot for another household to travel to on their way to the Grotto. Between the time I arrived and could get my sims to the entrance to the Grotto, Geoff was abducted. I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. The next time I traveled to that lot, I noticed that there was a baby. When I checked, Geoff had had an alien baby boy. So, it does happen.
As far as your male not getting the milestone, that happens with a lot of them I've noticed. I've had sims of all ages do things that they didn't get the milestone for. So, imo, the milestone system is buggy at best.
