I'm not able to start the Forever Friends Journey, because the new stuffed animal is not showing up in my build buy catalog. I have no mods.

You can use any stuffed animal for the task but if you want to use it, make sure you claim it first. The first one is a simple login reward you get for opening the game.
I can’t even start it I can’t find the new stuffed animal am I missing something I’m going to reset my folder and repair the game I hope it will help

Have you claimed the new stuffed animal from the main screen or on the event screen in game? Do you have the event panel showing in game?
Have you gone to the rewards section up the top left and clicked "claim"? It took me a while to realise it hadn't automatically added to my build buy.
You can use the base game stuffed animal to do it! That's what I did because I already had one on the lot. As the other person commented, be sure you have claimed the rewards so you can get them but you can still participate with the base game one until it's fixed if you still can't find it.
