Exact same boat here. It was working perfectly for me until one day it just stopped. I've tried removing all mods, all saves, all tray files, and nothing. So now half the houses I decorated have items exactly where I want them, but now I can never move or update anything because it'll never go back to the same spot since I can't freely place anything anymore. ;(
