Fridge doesn’t work

So i’ve had this problem with all of my saves, i’ll have my sim on the brink of death starving and unable to use the fridge. i’ve replaced fridges, put fridges in the middle of the room and much more...

What exactly happens when you try to use it ? Do they reset ? Route failure ? Do you have no options ?

Any mods/cc in your game ?
