Functional off the grid items dont work

So, my sims lot is off the grid. I bought them a stove and cooker that are "Functional Off-the-Grid". My sim can no longer cook. I also bought them a "Functional Off-the-Grid" bathroom, and nome of t...

"Functional Off-the-Grid" is a new category and the items with that in their description will work.
There are limits to what can be prepared with the stove (cooker) and fridge.
Be sure there are at least three empty counters to allow for food prep.
With Eco Lifestyle the Off-the-Grid fridge your Sim will have to "add ice" much like the old style ice boxes from long ago.

What exactly happens when you try to use any of the above?

    @daughtermitchellyes as i remember you can only cook some special recipes. there are 6 new added for Off-the-Grid which you can cook and not anything as it usual would be
