Also wanted to add that I did the "verify integrity of game files" through steam, this didn't help, I manually did the "App Recovery" option for the EA app in my windows menu... still can't get past this issue.
So, if I uninstall from Steam is there a way to reinstall directly with EA so I can hopefully have the repair option? I have 78 Add-Ons through EA only, there are no purchases in Steam. I hate having to start all over with building and all that, but I love this game and just want to play. And I want to fix it so I can have the option to actually repair in the future without having to uninstall.
I'm sorry did you purchase the base game through the app or Steam? And then the add-ons thru the EA App?
I only use the EA App for Sims so I don't know what else to tell you. Hopefully someone that has the Sims on steam will have an answer for you soon.
