Hi all! I purchased the Sims 4 Get Together pack today in large part because of the dock included. It is listed as a build item on both the EA website and Origin. I cannot for the life of me find it in build mode in game. I have tried using both bb.showhiddenobjects and bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement but found nothing. I've spent hours trying to research this and I feel like I'm going crazy!
I have found build item guides for Get Together with a quick Google search and none of them mention the dock, so I'm now totally confused as to why it's mentioned in official pack guides. I've attached a screenshot of the EA pack guide for reference (the dock is in the middle).
I don't know if it's worth noting, but I have never used mods in the game.
@PixelNest You are correct... I found the same results. I even confirmed that they are currently picturing the item in the store list for the pack. I also tried enabling bb.showhiddenobjects and running a debug search. That is odd... I have never seen the dock, actually.
I have a message out to another helper who plays a ton and also has a catalog of the items. I expect she will be posting here when she checks into it also. If we cannot find it either I would recommend that you contact EA to clarify. https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/?product=the-sims-4&platform=pc
On the other hand, I'm wondering if this is possibly being considered a list of items that come with the pack, and is it possible that this is to indicate that docks get added somewhere in the game when you get the pack? (In other words, they will be part of what the pack adds to your overall game?) Get Together was one of the first packs I got simply for the lovely build items it added, so I don't remember if I saw a dock area that appeared anywhere with the pack added. Anyway, I see a list of build items on this page, and I don't see it there: https://www.ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/store/mac-pc-download-addon-the-sims-4-get-together Also, I see these other items that are listed with the pack are actually build items... which makes me wonder this even more:
Also, as an aside note, If you are interested in making a dock in your game you should be able to do so nicely now anyway. The patch added to all games this week brought in a new foundation option of stilts. This is a screenshot of the one I built in my game. You will need Island Living to get the ladders, Aqua Zips, sail boat, glass flooring pictured, but they are not needed to build the dock!
When you first open the game (before starting to play) you will see icons for each of the packs.
Click on the pack icon to see CAS and build / buy items available with that pack.
I am not seeing the images you shared. I am thinking the ones you looked for were actually images of world objects and not available to the player. Perhaps this was corrected with patch 1.52.100.1020
@PixelNest I thought you would be happy to know that with the update/patch that EA released a few hours ago I believe you will now be able to find the dock that you were looking for! Please try the following:
With your lot open in build mode, press Shift+Control+C to open the cheat console box (upper left of your screen)
Enter the following in the cheat code box(all three in this order and press enter after each one):
testingcheats on (press enter)
bb.showhiddenobjects (press enter)
bb.showliveeditobjects (press enter)
then search for DEBUG
Then you should be able to find the dock in the build items! :eahigh_file:
