Glitches with time since recent update: life & death

since last update & purchase of life & death: the timing is out. the clock runs but everything doesn't catch up. 8am and kids havent left for school (no option to send them) takes 4hrs+ to do 1 task. other sims frozen, the day sometimes catches up once in build mode or if I've paused the game, and all of a sudden the sims have all needs in the red because they have been standing frozen.  so frustrating! makes the game not playable.
