Grims Event Not Updating, and UI Not Showing

My game is updated, I've never used any mods, I've tried saving a backup and completely restarting my computer and the sims, nothing has worked. It says I've only completed week one, even though I got the Ambrosia Newsletter and purchased the Grimophone, I've even summoned him. The weekly tasks are also not showing up at the top left corner anymore, only the icon to pull up the event progress. This happened when I got other tasks to participate in holidays, advance my skills, etc. I saw another post that mentioned that's when this happened to them as well, so I believe it may have something to do with that. When I completed all of these tasks, the Grim tasks did not reappear.
