Has EA patched the save file bugs with For Rent? Cause I heard there were bugs where save files get deleted and I don't want that cause I was thinking about maybe getting For Rent recently

Thank you for answering! Yes I saw a couple of bug reports but some people said they have them and some don't. So I'm not sure. I think some of the big bugs (rent not getting paid, lots disappearing, maintenance not working etc.) have still not been addressed. It's a shame because I think it has the potential to be one of the best expansion packs ever!
Current bug reports are here: [READ FIRST] Compiled list of reported Issues | EA Forums - 5052943
I haven’t bought it yet, but several of the bugs I was keeping an eye on were fixed in the recent big patch. A few more and I’ll probably get it.
Hopefully someone who already has the pack can chime in with their experience.

Hi guys! I love the idea of For Rent and the world looks great. I haven't bought it yet as I read/heard about a lot of issues including but not limited to:
- corrupted save files
- long loading screens, error messages, white screen, the game breaking completely
- rent not being paid at all if you are a landlord
- not being able to put rent higher than 3$ a week
- even if you resolve your tenants issues (maintenance) you get a message saying you didn't and your rating goes down
And some other minor issues. So basically that the pack is not working at all because the point is to have rental units and to be able to play as a landlord but major features seemed to not have been working.
The pack is now 2 years old. Can any of you confirm if the major bugs and issues have been fixed mostly, partly, or not at all?
What's your experience with the pack?
Would love to hear your opinions on whether to risk getting this pack or if it's a big "avoid at all cost". - billblogs3 months agoRising Hotshot
Events are solvable now. Unfortunately turning off events in the settings doesn't work. They should really invest some time on the for rent pack and get it working properly. You don't get rent on time and when you do it is not anywhere near what you should be getting. Or maybe they should just give everyone back their money and be done with it.

I built a 6 plex and not all tenants can access their apartments for some reason. They just stand their waving their arms. Everything was accessible when I first created it.

Thank you #dolldrms1 I will install it--knock on wood as well, I haven't had the issues people have had with it either. I'm not playing rental units for the time being either.

Hi Tomsde
Each of us have to make our own decision as to what we do or don't install on our computers. However, I've had For Rent installed since it released and haven't had any issues to date from it, knock on wood, lol.
I simply opted not to use the gameplay. I have sims living in the world in a residential lot and visit the Night Market etc. I just don't play as a tenant or a landlord, though there are those who have done so without issues. That is also a personal decision. I can only say that I wouldn't hesitate to install it. I have used build/buy items in houses from the EP and wouldn't want the missing content.

I am migrating to a new PC and I wanted some advise. I have the For Rent expansion pack, but all the issues with it haven't been resolved. I haven't had the save file corruption that this is supposed to be causing. Should I not install For Rent on my new computer for the time being. I'm concerned because I'm sure I used build/buy items from it in my games, so if I don't install it there would be content missing. If anyone has any advice, please let me know.
