Heart On Your Sleeve Trait - anyone using this?

I really liked the concept of the Heart On Your Sleeve trait from the Bridgerton event this summer, and I gave it to one of my Sims when she aged up to teen, only to discover she couldn't make friends! It wasn't limited to Sims with conflicting traits per the description--even with perfectly nice Sims, the friendship meter just doesn't go up with anyone outside her family.

It's a shame, because of all the traits we've gotten out of the reward events, I liked the idea of this one the best. I don't get a lot of use out of Practice Makes Perfect or Grouch.

I found a thread someone made about this in Bug Reports and replied there, but it doesn't have a lot of responses, so I was wondering: Does this problem not happen for most players? Or is it that no one's using Heart On Your Sleeve?

If you have a Sim with the Heart On Your Sleeve trait and they are thriving, you should tell me all about them so I can enjoy your sensitive and kindhearted Sim's adventures vicariously. : ) I've left that save alone for months because I don't want to change her traits, but I also want her to be able to make friends, dang it.
