As stated on the purchase page you need the base game The sims 4 to be able to play these expansions.

  • @098765432145678 I'm sorry... this sounds very frustrating. I haven't run into any similar issues on my game, so I haven't got experience personally in this issue, but can I ask a couple of questions? Is your "The Sims 4 ltd edition" a full version, and where you already able to run/play it fine with full functions working? I don't have that particular version (the limited edition one) and just googled it. It looks like it is a regular Sims 4 but with some extra content? A number of reviewers mentioned that their copy was unusable as the activation code had already been used (so they must have purchased a used copy?), which made me think that perhaps it would be good to first clarify with you if your The Sims 4 game is working properly on its own, is listed/synced to the same EA / Origin account that your expansions are purchased on, and if so, can you first try too go into Origin and run both a game repair and update for your The Sims 4 game and see if that that is all in place/makes any difference?
