I think the game really needed this pack as there isn't really that much we can do with the teenage experience, it's just been too similar to childhood experience as in school, homework. Even the clothes are mainly just the adult wardrobe and with my bad memory I'd have a teen walking past an adult in the same outfit and be like sorry, sorry I'll immediately send you home and ditch that outfit pronto. So I'm happy about the pack content and I'll be adding it...in a few months time. I've learned my lesson with adding packs before the inevitable raft of bug fixes is needed!
I'm really glad that sexual orientation is being added it's about time and just like pronouns it adds to the ability to really customise Sims identities. I'll be going back through all my many households in CAS and editing them all where I need to.
What I really want to see with this update though, purely for my selfish reasons is a massive bug fix and I fear that I'll be left wanting again. My gameplay is so buggy, especially after adding wedding stories (my bad, the warnings in the media could not have been clearer) to the point where my Sims can't even walk a dog (spinning on the spot, dog vanishing, teleporting) or invite family and friends over (destressing dedoction being made by people without skills or ingredients, mean/mischief interactions). I get random messages about updating my graphics settings and I can't have Sims live in the city or travel there without excessive crashing and I can't light fireworks...and so on, and so on. I can't use all CAS makeup (random makeup being applied after using some products). These are just a few examples of the total 100 issues in my game. I even keep my own bug records. I'm on my second forced break of this year. All these bugs have been reported....by me and many others...many times. There's no excuse guys. With any other product we'd be talking refunds and UK consumer watchdog involvement.
So the pack looks great but it's no good if I can't play my game. These bugs keep getting reported, the threads date back months and no action. I hate to be negative as I'm generally a positive person and I love my Sims, for just over 20 years I've loved my Sims. But I'm honestly in dispair now at how buggy it is.
I buy new games, I play them and think wow, it works and it's not crashing and I know it's a much smaller game but it means I just leave my Sims alone for the hassle and I've spent so much money on it with over 50 add-ons.
I love the game, I love the direction it's taking and I love the new content but there are so many bugs I just want to take a massive fly swat to my console. It's starting to feel like a bad habit to me combined with a money pit.
