Hijabs and clothing preferences

I tweeted recently about the in game Hijabs. There seems to be only one in the game and it’s placed in the “everyday wear” section. Here in lies the issue. There is ONLY ONE and it’s not in the other sections ( formal, party, cold weather). I feel as though it would be beneficial to all to be able to see more than one choice and it be included in all areas. I also mentioned that we only have feminine and masculine clothing preferences. Why not add a “both” or “neither” options. (Is there for getting pregnant) THOUGHTS?

  • @JamesAsaurus Hello! I hope you are well. I totally agree there should be more options.  I wanted share some things that may help you.

First, you can remove the category in CAS to allow the one hijab to appear as a choice.  Just click the X to remove the category. This image also shows another option.  It's not exactly a hijab but covers just as well.  Also this option appears in each category. (Note that you can also eliminate the "feminine" choice the same way to have access to both male and female clothing options.)

Once you eliminate the category, you can select the hijab as a head covering no matter which category you're in.

Lastly, the Journey to Batuu pack adds a couple more head coverings. I'm not suggesting to buy a whole pack just for two more options. I just wanted to let you know about them.

    Hope this helps!

  • Hey! @JonaO703  I am well thank you. I hope you are as well!

Firstly, thank you for agreeing that there should be more options. I personally don't think/ am not asking for tons of choice, perhaps just another Hijab (maybe wrapped a different way with more and different swatches) to give us a little more choice when it comes to styling Hijabs. As you mentioned. The option to "remove" the X in the category has been pointed out to me and I understand this is a very easy fix/workaround for this. However, you continue to mention the other existing hijab esk headwear. To me, it comes across as a more "Sporty hijab" something we have seen as an option in actual real-life sports in which women who wear hijabs can switch out. Whilst I understand I could therefore use this headwear as a secondary option in other outfits. It still leaves you with a limited choice.

  • Another thing loosely related to this.. I created a single female sim who wears a hijab and left her to be a townie (as in, I'm not playing her and she's in the "other households" category). Now since she's not regarded as a played sim, the game used her as a mixologist at a bar venue and obviously she showed up to work without her hijab. I wish our NPCs and actually just all sims could keep their normal everyday accessories (I see sims who wear glasses without their glasses in their career outfits) when they're hired to community lot role or when they change into their career outfits. It really bothers me that the woman who normally wears a hijab shows up somewhere without it.
