Hobbies and fun
When is Sims 4 getting pool tables , hobbies , we need things like in previous Sims , ice sculpting etc Need pool table , fun activities in garden etc , and one thing we all want cars , bring fixer...
@TOMCAT_COOL, In addition to what @SheriGR stated, yes, most people want a pool table in TS4! They should be able to do that. On the other hand, swimming in all worlds is far more problematic because none of those worlds were designed with swimming in mind, and many areas just aren't deep enough. So, out of those 2 wishes, we are much more likely to get pool tables! 😉
I agree that having a car to fix up was a lot of fun in TS2. TS3 had this as well, but you were able to drive that car around town after you fixed it up. In TS2 you could drive it out of your driveway and off the lot, but not around town. You could also woo hoo in the car or sit in it and listen to the radio. However, I fear that if EA gave only gave us cars to fix up without letting us drive them around in an open world, then a lot of people would be angry that those cars cant' be used like they were in TS3. 😮 So, that might be why we they haven't given us any cars to fix up. The other reason is that while TS2 didn't have open worlds to drive in either, the fixable car came with Open for Business, where you could fix it up and then resell it for a very nice profit! 🙌 But if they just added fixable cars in a patch in TS4, it wouldn't have as much use unless you also had Get to Work (which is the equivalent of TS2's Open for Business). Add that to the fact that even if you have Get to Work and can sell the car, you cannot sell it from your home lot like you could in TS2. However, in the recent online survey, EA asked if there were any packs that we would like for them to go back and upgrade or add some things to. If Get to Work is one of the more requested for this , then there is a chance that they could add a fixable car to that pack and/or the ability to sell large items from your home lot! 🙌🤞
I don't know how popular ice sculpting would be with the majority of players, but I love ice sculptures! ❤️
And yes, dog walkers is a fantastic and needed idea! 🙌 Again if Cats & Dogs is one of the more popular choices on that survey for some upgrades, then this is possible! 🤞 (And I would also like controllable pets and for dogs to have the ability to get on human beds! )
And even though I'm not a huge fan of TS3, I did like the Freetime pack that allowed our Sims extra hobbies, like Karate & ballet!
And finally, the Community Vote Stuff Pack this time around in all about Knitting, so that will be another hobby for you to look forward to sometime this year! 🥳
@SheriGR, knowing how you love to garden in your game, I'm surprised you left of the Flower Arranging Table from Seasons as one of our current hobbies! 🤔 Also, what is the Elation Station from City Living? (I probably use it in my game, but I have no clue what is called that name! 🤭😃).
@SheriGR , @PugLove888 I'm with you on drivable cars in Sims 4. Just for the sake of discussion, I can only think of one way they could include them in Sims 4 and I'm not sure it ever would be worth it. There was an old Sims 3 Pets game for XBox 360 that I loved playing when I was a kid. The world in that game (Sugar Maple Coast) was divided into neighborhoods, very similar to Sims 4, and not an open world like those in the PC version of Sims 3. That game did have drivable cars, but the only thing the cars would do is:
So yeah, a cute animation but no real game-play addition at all. This is the only way I can think of for including drivable cars in Sims 4 and even then it would only be practical for certain worlds and neighborhoods, i.e. only those with roads and where we currently see car animations. It would be kind of cool to be be able to work on cars to increase the Handiness skill and possibly to fix-up clunker cars to sell/earn Simoleans (and maybe get some fixer-upper mood buffs or pride of car ownership buffs). So maybe something for a stuff pack similar to the Sims 3 Fast Lane Stuff pack + the Fixer-Upper Car from the Sims 3 Store.
Btw- that Sims 3 Pets game for XBox 360 had special taxis the pets could ride around in (totally adorable!) and I've always felt that Brindleton Bay was at least partly based on Sugar Maple Coast ;-D
@RandomBuzziness, I agree 100 % that this would be the only way they could do cars in TS4! You explained it beautifully! 🙂
I had a Sims 3 game for console but it was the Wii. And it , too, was not like the computer TS3! But I didn't play it much because I got very sick and had to go to the hospital, and when I returned I didn't feel like playing on the Wii (too many arm motions!) So I just played TS3 on the PC. So even though I had it, I don't remember much.
Now, who doesn't love a video game with pet taxis!?!?! ❤️🐶🐱🥳
