Home Chef Hustle and lot challenges

I sometimes like to play with the Off the Grid and Simple Living lot challenges, but Home Chef Hustle has kind of messed that up. Now so many dishes require prepped ingredients, which requires a food processor, which requires electricity. I would really like prepped ingredients to be optional, like a dish requiring either meat or prepped meat and the prepped ingredient just makes cooking faster, or a way to prep ingredients by hand without needing an electrical appliance. In real life, I can totally chop vegetables or make batter by hand, appliances just make it faster and easier. In short, I would really like it if my Sims did not HAVE to have a food processor, and I’m considering uninstalling this pack so they don’t.

  • @DemB00ts Hi, when you click on the fridge and choose Cook, in the upper left corner of the popup menu there's a new option to deselect, if you don't want to use prepped ingredients. You need to deselect the option every time you open the Cook menu though, that's a bit annoying.

@GiardiniDiMarzo Thank you! I don’t know how I didn’t notice that. I still wish there was a way to prep ingredients without the food processor, but at least these lot challenges are actually doable.

Only just found this thread after buying Home Chef Hustle in the sale and instantly regretting it because every meal required prepped ingredients. I didn't realise you could deselect the option but to be honest I'm still glad I am reinstalling the game without the pack. If you don't want to constantly use the new features it feels like it's made cooking significantly more awkward
