household of entirely pets?
Before I open a bug report (because I AM playing with mods and this would be difficult and time-consuming to reproduce)... I did see this on SimsCommunity.info...
I had a household that consisted entirely of dogs.
The TL;DR on this is that Dominic and Moira Fyres died, and Siobhan Fyres died, and then Morgan moved and took the children and toddlers her late mother adopted to Evergreen Harbor and abandoned the dogs at the old house. Maybe the apartment didn't allow pets? Maybe she thought they'd be unhappy in an apartment? Maybe she was so distraught that she forgot. I mean, ordinarily I would judge someone harshly for abandoning their pets, but that's a lot of tragedy and responsibility for a single teen to handle...
And yet I didn't find a bug report that I could me, too. Am I and bluevanillatea the only people seeing this? Or am I just nosier than the average person? (I like to mouse over houses when changing households, and if I'm curious about a neighborhood story I might go into manage households -> other households and look for them.) All that said, I spotted this household while looking for a new house to move a newlywed Sim couple into...
(I merged the doggos with another household so they wouldn't get lonely.)
So, I tested it with a fresh folder and gave almost every household pets. I toggle it all off except moving out and dying. I played with Vlad and let him hibernate for almost 5 weeks.
Almost nothing happens for a long time then one family from San Myshuno moved out and this with pets. NS don’t allow it that a household split, so this is only a feature from MCCC.
After a while I had my first dead and all pets vanished with the owner. So, after my test I can say that single Toddler/Kids/Pet households should not occur in a vanilla game, at lest from my short testing experience.
Off Topic; I love my vanilla game, and really hope still that we get a big bugfix patch, I would immediately go back to my vanilla game. If I mod a game I have the tendence to mod it for the fun for modding, not for playing. I think this is a feature you got if you begin to mod Bethesda games. You mod it to perfection and after 30 minutes in game you are finish with the game! It’s the same with sims4, there is always a mod I still need to try it.. luckily CC don’t have the same effect on me, this would be my death.
