how can take a vacation?

@angelatingting, No you don't have to be employed to take a vacation, but you will need some household funds to afford the trip. How much depends on where you stay and for how long, etc. (you can always use a money cheat if you need to. 😉 )
To find the vacations, click on your Sim's phone and at he bottom there will be 4 circles. Click on the 2nd to the left that says "Travel..." and has a car on it. From there, there will be a list of choices to choose from -- you will pick the one that says "Take a Vacation..." . From there it will send you to a screen that has both Selvadorada and Granite Falls to choose from (if you have both Jungle Adventure and Outdoor Retreat, respectively. 🙂
