Hi;
Most of the base game cheat codes have a header in front of them, such as "bb." or something like that. you usually need to include those if you're using them. Most of the headers indicate what area of the game they affect, such as "bb.showhiddenobjects" which enables hidden objects in the build mode. If you're getting an issue with it saying the syntax is wrong, it means either the syntax you were provided was incorrect, or something was typed wrong.
There's notable exceptions, such as testingcheats on which allows you to perform various base-game cheat commands so long as it's active.
