How do you help sick Children

My sims child is sick with some sort of fever. With adult sims I just give them medicine and it goes away but she cant take the medicine? I'm not sure if this is a glitch or not but I don't think it is. How do I help her get better?

@Wolfie_GirlXox See if she can drink the orange juice, usually that helps. But you need to at least drinking more than one during the day. You can find it on the Quick meal menù on the fridge.

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
Is the child now able to take the medicine?
