I also have plants saved to the gallery in small collections. Vampire plants are saved with the plasma fruit tree, mosquito trap, wolfbane, and a couple of flowering plants. All have been saved at the perfect stage. All the ingredients you need to make the vampire cure. (game play idea) So if your sim is a vampire hunter you give them the cure and effectively kill a vampire. It is true however if you don't have the Vampire or werewolf pack the plants won't show up for you.
I like saving plants in small amounts so it is easier for whoever downloads them to have room to place them if the lot is crowded.
Kinda fun how we have all come out to sell our wares. LOL
There's nothing more frustrating than that one plant you look everywhere for and bankrupting your poor Sim, ripping open seed packets to no avail. Once I had them all I thought right you little troublemakers I'm planting every single one of you so I don't have this hassle again. My garden centre has a rule that my Sims can find anything they want there for free as long as they help with the gardening while they visit.
I definitely could buy Wolfsbane before I had Werewolves though. It's always at the garden shop stall in Finchwick. I only got Werewolves a few weeks ago but I've been buying it for months for collecting Sims who happened to be shopping there. I just haven't seen it in any seed packets though. It wasn't there when I first got CoL and must have arrived when added to the base game I guess. My garden centre is from several months ago and I added the Wolfsbane to it after buying it from a Crumplebottom.
I got one of my Sims to put little pots of it on Moonwood Mill lots along with Death Flowers as I was rebuilding the world although I know it grows wild there.

They arent found in the normal seed packet theres a wolfsbane seed packet which can be bought. I think random prize awards could be stuff like the finchwick fair or getting packets for running errands

@simsplayer818 Yes the wolfsbane came with Vampires pack and grows wild in the world. That's where I got the one I grew to perfect.
- LadyAofPineapple2 years agoSeasoned Ace@ReneHollyDesign1 Yes, but OP was looking for it in base game, which I guess wolfsbane is now part of (it is like infants coming to base game but milestones are part of a pack, I think?). But because base game doesn't have those worlds, they can't obtain the plant.
@simsplayer818 I didn't even think about the gallery; good idea
