@Lego_Master_A25 I think the only way you can hire the employees is if your sim purchases/owns the business. What expansion packs to you own? For example...If you own 'Get To Work you can purchase and run a retail store. If you own 'Dine Out' you can purchase and run a restaurant. In your restaurant you can add a bar and if you own it you can click the bar while it is open and select 'Hire Bartender' and one will come or bartend yourself, but you will not make any money from those drinks if others drink them (unless you drag them to 'sell' in build mode to sell them). If you own 'Cats & Dogs you can purchase and run a Vet Clinic.
You can make a business be a bar or cafe, but you cannot own or buy it... the game will populate the employees and run it for you. 'Hire a host' should go with the hosting station, which is designed for the entrance of your restaurants in with 'Dine Out'.
If you build a venue you can try going to visit and see if the game has populated the employees. Let me know what you find when you do that.
