@christinasimsdeb, yes this is a problem.☹️  I get so frustrated with it that I rarely play a rotational save; I prefer to have each family as their own Save Game.  But with large families that grow up and move out, I realize that this is not ideal since you would want them to still be in each other's lives! 😞

Its funny that you mention this because just yesterday someone else asked almost the same question: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Information/Sims-aren-t-going-to-school/m-p/7868659#M12448

As @jpkarlsen explained, this is just how the game is.  Your other Sims won't starve to death, but they will do all kinds of things while you are playing another house. 🤨😃 Most people manage it by switching back and forth often.  I don't even think there is a Mod out there that will help with this, but I don't know since I don't play with Mods.  (They are too much trouble for me because they require too much upkeep for my liking.) 😳  But it wouldn't hurt to look, if you aren't adverse to playing with them.  But I would just try to switch back and forth as much as you can to keep tabs on the entire family!

Best of luck and Happy Simming! 😇
