how to turn a vampire into a ghost

my vampire just died, I don't know how or where he died because I wasn't focusing on him, but then his wife who I was with became very sad due to losing her spouse. I want to turn him to a ghost but I don't know how and I can't find his grave or whatever it is that sims leave when they die.
