[HR] [V] [ROM] [W] Occult Nectar Recipes

@DracuAlice2017 I'm wondering if you acquire the knowledge as you create nectar recipes and lvl up? What skill lvl of Nectar making does your sim have?

EnglishSimmer in her video on youtube (Does Sims 4 Hose Ranch work well with other packs?) talked that you can only make the nectar if you have the occult state: Wolves can only make Moon, Vampire can only make Plasma,  Mage can only make Valerian. I think this is a design choice. I agree is not the best choice.

@ReneHollyDesign1 He's level 5. Maxed the whole skill.

@daikoyu I tried to see if the other two appeared for those occults, but the options weren't there. Granted, they had no skill in nectar making, so that could be it. I could have sworn though that it appeared as an option for my sim from the get go. Maybe I'm misremembering.

@DracuAlice2017 I’ve been having this issue too and when I looked through gamer articles (often known to be a bit untrustworthy I will admit) one said outright that the sim has to order the nectar at a bar and then drink it. When I went to the werewolf bar, there was no option for the moon petal nectar or any other special nectar. 

I did this all with Morgyn Ember at skill level 5 to see if the valerian root showed up but I still had no luck. I also ended up doing this with Johnny Zest also max skill at different bars including the one in HR and I was still unable to do anything. It could be I need to bring Morgyn to the dreaded glimmerbrook bar to get valerian root nectar but I think this is much more likely to be a glitch. 

@gait_keeper I know some are saying you have to be the occults themselves in order to make the Nectar. My Werewolf was able to make Moonpetal Nectar. However, someone in a Discord server stated that she was able to make the Valerian Nectar with her human sim she made straight from CAS.

It seems to appear sometimes but not all the time. I didn't report it as a bug because I wasn't quite sure it was one. Maybe it is a bug though.

@DracuAlice2017 To be honest I assume most of what is confusing in the Sims franchise is a glitch or a bug or even an unused feature. It seems like everyone has this problem so I think it has to be broken at least in my occult sims not being able to craft the special nectar. I’m thinking maybe you have to talk to Roberto Crinkletop and befriend him to learn them, but thats just a hunch since I know he helps with the Vitality Nectar. Thanks for the response, honestly this is all very confusing and I’m considering finding a mod for it or modding it myself just so I can use it how I think you should be able to.

Only the occult type can make the relevant occult nectar, they learn it automatically when reaching Nectar Making skill level 4. The occult nectar then appears on the selectable nectar craft list.

@Gagea25  Hm... That's what I thought, but not all my occults learn the specific recipe. And someone in a discord claimed they learned the valerian nectar with a human sim. I believe them since I follow their YouTube channel.

Confirming: I just now played through with a Spellcaster organically learning level 4 of nectar making, and while I wasn't seeing the recipe at first, as soon as I reached level 4 she had unlocked it and was directly able to craft the spellcaster version of nectar, Valerian Nectar.
