[HSY] Prom not taking place but is showing in calendar (Patch 1.116)

As stated I cant attend prom and haven't been able to since purchasing it a month ago. The whole DLC is a bit glitchy. Thus far I have been prompted to go to prom but when I select the sims I want to...

    Hi all,

    We believe this issue is due to the 'Allow Friendly Invites & Requests' setting being disabled in your Game Options.

    From Live Mode, please head into Game Options-> Gameplay and verify that you have Allow Friendly Invites & Requests enabled there.

    Once youโ€™ve verified that this setting is enabled, Prom should appear normally in your calendar again.

There is a community manager in the chat saying that uploading your save files might help them diagnose the problem, I'd do it myself, but my files are too big.
