hyphenated last name having trouble with sim id cheat

I have a sim with the name Raiden Lovell-Richard. The sims id cheat sims.get_sim_id_by_name first last does not work on my xbox one s, is there anyway around that
gameplay issue

    You need to rename your Sim to have one last name. You can always rename them back later.
