i forgot how to view my sims traits in the sims 4

@sim31984 There are a number of ways to view a Sim's traits (including but not limited to...)

• You can check their 'Simology panel' in live mode: :eahigh_five (Thanks, @RandomBuzziness )
  
  
  
• Also... in Map/World view, you can click the household, if they are on the lot, and view the aspirations and traits  (thanks, @EuphorialQueen):
  
  
  
• You can edit their traits in a number of ways, but the most common would be to go to "Manage Households" in the world view...
  
  
  
• Select the household that you want to split (from either the “My Households” tab or the “Other Households” tab). Click on the household to open the pop-up for it..
  
  
  
• Then click the pencil icon at the bottom to edit the household, and select the sim you want to check on there.
  
  
  
• You should also find options to open CAS (Create A Sim - the editing area for the Sim) by clicking on a mirror in their home with that Sim active/selected. Select 'Change Sim'.
• Also, if you click a dresser or a closet you will have the option to 'Change Sim'. Selecting this will open CAS.
