Thank you for explaining it. I also was confused and couldn't find a good answer anywhere else. Does it update it the 32-bit version the same way as the 64-bit version? Does it include new features like platforms and sentiments? I have a 32-bit 2009 Macbook Pro and always play the game offline.
@smcaaz The Legacy Edition does not get updates, unfortunately. So even though the game files are being patched, there's no practical effect on gameplay in the LE. That means no platforms or anything else that didn't exist in Sims 4 a year ago.
Just to clarify, your Mac and its operating system are 64-bit. Sims 4 is and has always been 64-bit in macOS, just not in Windows. The issue with older Macs like yours is that they don't support Metal, which is a graphics API that the standard version of Sims 4 now uses rather than the older OpenGL.
