I bought Growing Together & I cannot figure out for the life of me how to get an infant to learn to crawl. I've played 3 infants from birth to toddler & none have learned how to crawl.The last infant I set lifespan from average to long.Average lifespan of an infant is 5 days & long is 20.The kid learned ALL milestones by day 4. It is now day 19 & they still cannot crawl. HELP!I am no longer doing anything but cheating needs, forcing the kid to do tummy time, practice crawling & pulling himself up. Nothing is triggering the crawl milestone.I absolutely hate this. I really hope there is a some sort of cheat for every milestone like there is for every quirk because right now Base Game has the better infants in that they can actually live thier lives. Growing Together infants are held back by code that apparently won't let them progress in life and there is just no way to know what in the heck I should be doing.If anyone knows how to cheat to give an infant a milestone without a mod I really need to know. Console players cannot use mods so the answer has to be mod free. I'm playing on PC right now but I play vanilla like on console.

I feel like so much time in the infant life stage is being wasted because it takes 5 hours to put them to sleep, mainly because the sim immediately picks them up after putting them to bed half the time. Once again, we have another pack that feels untested, incomplete, and like there was no care in the process of making it. It’s the standard of quality we come to expect from EA and I fear this may be the last pack I buy. It’s just not worth the money anymore.

You can be patient and practice every day and still not get there. My infant is on average lifespan. I've done tummy time with her numerous times every day, but she hasn't crawled, scooted, or even been able to sit in the high chair. Hold Head Up is the highest milestone she's reached, and she's fixing to age up to toddler. They're right, this takes too long. I haven't even had an option for anything like "learn to crawl" or "learn to stand."

Just curious to see if anyone else has still has this problem as I'm debating whether to report it as a potential bug.My infants are on long lifespan and all their other milestones have taken either 2 or 3 attempts at the action or have come automatically, except crawling. I have actioned the Practice Crawling action coming up for 15 times on all 3 of my infant triplets and none of them have learnt to crawl yet, even after I rest them all just in case it's related. It is super frustrating. I love the pack and I get it's part of the whole point of it, but I wish we had the option to toggle the infant development on or off. It's been so hard trying to raise 3 infants at once to be able to sit up, eat food and (not!) crawl, that I'm envious of base game players who can play with infants who can do everything from the moment they age up.

@JuniperWhimsyI agree with you. Base Game Infants are absolutely superior because they actually can live. I honestly have changed my opinion about Growing Together from "it's a good pack" to "I hate this, it's broken trash" entirely based on how broken the infants & milestones are.I am on child 6 of a legacy family. It's been months since the pack came out. I play long life span & this generation I have 2 infants. Both parents are spending their entire lives tummy time, practice to crawl & nothing else. It is day 18 & neither infant can crawl. The gear showed up when they were 10 days old! We have spent WEEKS grinding. I do not know why this is so broken but this is literally broken. This isn't some BS "be patient" nonsense. I was patient a month ago. Now I am honestly furious. Angry to a point of rage. If a key feature of the pack is impossible to achieve the pack should NEVER have been released. Period. The infants shouldn't have been released this broken.There needs to be an ingame cheat to give an infant all milestones. I want Base Game fully upgraded infants while playing the pack I paid $40 for. I can't disable the pack just to make the children less aweful, at that point EA owes me $40 because the entire pack is unplayable. You shouldn't have to disable a pack the day you buy it to be able to play the game. Didn't we all learn that from the Wedding Stories mess?EDIT: Both my parents are Parenting Lv 10. This is not a parenting level issue.EDIT: I play only vanilla on PC. I have never used any mods or cc I object to them on principle. Are there ANY mods that can make my terrible infants actually playable!? I at a point of rage quitting this game. I want to give them the ability to actually do everything when they age up to infants from the moment they age up. I want Base Game Infants while still having Growing Together. Can ANYONE HELP ME!?

I had this same problem! No matter how many times I selected the practice crawling action she never got the milestone. Finally I reset her and that seemed to fix it because she got the milestone immediately after.

I am having the same issue. Normally each skill took three 'practices' max. I am upwards of 15 on crawl with no luck. I did try resetting them but that hasn't made the difference so far....

I have also been having this problem ugh, none of my infants get the crawl milestone no matter how many times I have them practice. I even reset them multiple times and it still hasn't worked!

I have the same problem.
I did notice that once or twice my infant had something in his action menu but then disappeared while loading. one of those times I hovered over it, it said "Milestone" but then it disappeared.
The image of that action was a chair tho so that confused me ...

I had the same problem with my infant. Then i used that kid mat while she was on it and i found an interaction under "Friendly" and "Activities" and it called "Tummy Time Together" and that is when she reached a milestone like held her head and stuff. So maybe that is the key! I hope my infant will start to crawl now that i am using this interaction! ^.^

@iheartsandwiches I had the same problem. I tried to find the option under 'Baby care' but it wasn't there. I found it under 'friendly > activities'. You'll find other interactions such as: Tummy time, learn to stand.

I have played this update and expansion pack now for over 1 week and I know it works,but it does cost a lot of time! You need to go over and over with the infant again and again. Please be patient with the little one. You have to do tummy time and tummy time and when she/he learns a lot of milestones you see under activities learn to crawl or learn to stand etc. Than you can learn the little one how to crawl. It's absolutely taking a lot of days (my sim had to take a holiday for it) and it works.Perhaps it doesn't work if you have CC or mods in the game? Just asking?

@monique23051 It's not so much a matter of being "patient" with a little pixel pudding person, it's the fact that it takes too long. They zoom through every other milestone, but crawling? Nah, they need to spend their entire lifecycle on this one little thing.
And yes, I know that IRL babies grow at different rates. But this is a game, not real life. >.>
