Infant update isnt actually an update
I finally decided to have another infant in my game. I dont like randoms uncontrollably procreating so its all in my hands. This time in a family I play actively. So I got the infant. Ok, its not just an object anymore, it looks more alive.
Took me awhile to get it to crawl. I still dont get the point of tummy time because every time the baby is crying and nothing is achieved. It makes no sense. Now it can crawl. Training to stand leads nowhere. At least its not crying with those tasks. They are just pointless it seems.
Only by searching the edge of the internet I found ONE comment on reddit that explained how to get the baby to stand. You have to put it down near a sofa and tell it to pull itself up. Well, Im doing that for the I dont knowth time. The baby does it but it seems pointless without success in sight.
Night night? Forget it !
Half the time when the mother puts the baby into the very empty baby bed, hands it a kiss... on the neck... and then picks her up again. Why??
Help explore new food? Forget it !
It worked the first few times. But now my sim, with the baby in arm, just stands there and wont put her into the baby seat. Neither put down nor help explore foods works. The sim is just unresponsive. But when I cancel it suddenly he gets his free will back. Walking around? No problem. Suddenly the sim can put the baby into the seat without a fuss.
Play abit on the ground? Forget it !
Baby was having some fun, mother stands there and watches and another sim has the bright idea to pick the baby up for no good reason... and does nothing beyond that. Just stands there...
Cant I cry in my bed in peace? Forget it !
Household of two adults, two teens and the baby. Baby cries and two adults and two teens drop everything and run to the crying baby... and do nothing about it. They just stand there. Staring...
Update the bed? Like a tv...
My sim pulled out a motherboard and a screwdriver... to upgrade the bed ! Seriously?
Breast feeding? Why is the mother suddenly mostly naked? Shes wearing a bikini, gloves, long socks and shoes. All gone. How does that even make sense??
And this with ten more bugs inbetween that makes it difficult to keep the baby happy without warnings of it being taken away.
If I tell someone who doesnt play games at all about these things I would have my sanity questioned. This is abonimable! How the plum did this pass quality control???
