Infinite loading screen

Hello,

So, my sister and me worked very hard on a certain save file. After placing lots all over the worlds, certain lots just won't load. We don't use mods, don't go over the max rentals etc. I've tried creating a new save file, and here the lots do load.

So, logically, I would say that there is a problem somewhere in this savefile of ours. Now my question, is there any way to find out what causes this? Like, is there a way to find out whichever lot we placed, or anything, causes this issue in our file? Or is completely doomed and do we have to start over, again?

TBF, I'm getting pretty tired of this never ending issue. It seems, no matter how many times we start over, the files get corrupted anyways. I surely may expect that after 10+ years of this game, certain things have to work no? Or does everyone has to start over from time to time? How can I build a whole world if it gets corrupted again and again. I have a decent gaming PC, and both me and my sis find the same issue.

I am truly sorry if this post comes off as agressive, or anything. I just feel so tired of having to build a cool world, for it to crash again. It really takes the fun out of playing this game.

I tried:

  • Verifying integrity
  • Deleting cashes
  • re-install the whole game

But nothing. Help, are my sims days just over, or does someone have a tip here.

Kind regards,

Aurly

  • Hi Aurlyande

usually if certain lots don't load it's either something with the family or the lot.

Here's a guide that can help you narrow down a cause: 📓[GUIDE] Endless Loading | EA Forums - 5037259

It's usually a tedious work unfortunately.

LastExceptions can also help narrow down things so do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

    • Delete the ones you have
    • Trigger the error again
    • Check if new ones are created
    • If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

*Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.*

Y'all, I deleted one of the lots, called 'the waterfront'. And suddenly it worked again. Idk why, but deleting lots did the trick. I hope this issue will be gone now ;)
