@jpkarlsen, thanks that makes sense about the recipes! 😇 One of my Sims just reached cultural level 3, but I haven't tried to have her make any food since then.
I haven't found the Royal Baths yet! But I found one of the Emotion Berry trees on that long stone ledge with the large medallion overlooking the river below! Such a view! 🤨 ❤️
No, I haven't brought any pets to the Jungle yet. I thought of trying to adopt a stray by putting out food bowls for them, but I haven't tried that yet, since I wanted to concentrate on cultural and archeological activities! 😉
At the place where there are 4 portals take the one on the left. The Temple has only 1 emotion tree. I have now completed exploring the temple. Hopefully some of the blocked path will be open on my next vacation.

hi @PugLove888,
LOL... yes, your Sim could be really puzzled... i'm glad she got a positive buff, though! maybe she was thinking, "i don't like it, but it's good for me" or just inspecting it... and wondering... for too long. i loved that picture.
(oh, i looked up the Brady Bunch volcano "incident" (LOL) online and it was very funny! i never made a volcano in school, it would have been a nice project to work on.)
it's a relief Sims don't have to worry about that! there's already enough danger, right?
OMG! thanks for the foods/drinks info! Sims can drink mate! i'm sorry in advance, because i'm going to sound like i'm being a know-it-all: they used "yerba mate" to mean the drink? that term (well, one of a few) is used to refer to the plant. its leaves and stems *are* ground and used to make the infused drink (infusion?) which is simply called (one of its names, too) "mate".
"mate" is also a term (you guessed it, one of a few!) used to mean the container that people (Sims, too?) drink it from. this can have different shapes, but sometimes looks gourd-like. and the "metal straw" used to drink from it (LOL, way to state the obvious, sorry) acts like a filter, so you get the drink and not the thick ground powder/bits of stems. XD
i can't help feeling happy that they added it, though... also, empanadas. and buñuelos! -> my great-aunt used to make these, filled with... i think the word is "chard"? and while not my favourite food, they remind me of her. <3 (hi, @jpkarlsen, i hope your Sims enjoy them!)
do you like palmitos? um... do you know them as "palm hearts", maybe? (so many things i have to translate in my head and i'm not sure of! embarrassing!)
i hope your Sims end up learning how to make these awesome foods/drinks!
head scarves are the best! i wear them when it's windy, whenever i go to the beach (which isn't often, LOL), or just because i love them! <3 now you have to make *your* Sim-self wearing one of those!
and thank you so much for the pictures! that bridge makes me feel a little nervous! XD- PugLove8887 years agoHero (Retired)
@jpkarlsen, thanks for the info on finding the Royal Baths! They were absolutely gorgeous! 🤨 ❤️ The only problem is that I could only find one Tree of Emotions in the Royal Baths section 😮 I found the first one with no problem, and then searched and searched and didn't find any other trees of this type. Every time I thought I had found one again, I realized it was the same tree, but it looked different because I had approached it from a different angle! 😃 (This is the tree that is in front of and to the left of the bird design in the pool if you have the camera looking at the pool so that the bird is right-side-up.)
@unseenlarks, you are right --- I forgot to eat yesterday because I was having so much fun exploring Jungle Adventure! 🥳 I'm glad you liked the picture of the Sim eating an avocado! She was eating it in the museum because she had just needed to use the computer there to buy an antidote to poisonous bee stings! 😮 🤒😢 She didn't have the correct ingredients on her to give to the locals for a free antidote. Maybe that is why she looks displeased in the picture!?! 😉
I'm glad you saw the Brady Bunch volcano! Did you see the whole episode or just the main part with the volcano. My school volcano project looked much more like the one in the Sims!
Yes, volcanos would be a bit much for our Sims, since the jungle is already fraught with danger! My Sim even got attacked by something that is harmless in real life! ==>
SpoilerFireflies aren't so benign in Jungle Adventure! 😮You don't sound like a know-it-all! We are lucky to have you give us first-hand information! But yes, they used the term "yerba mate" for the drink! In fact, there is no plant of this kind to harvest in the game. I think they used that term since it is what most people in the United States would be familiar with. (If they just said "mate" people might think it had something to do with a friend (like they say in England) or breeding! 🤨 :eahigh_file: Infusion is the correct technical term, but we use "tea" for all infused drinks since it is made in a similar way. Technically, "Tea" would only be and infusion of tea leaves, but most people aren't that technical. When my Sim drank some of the mate, there was a note when he finished that said now he could make it in the tea maker! 😉 And no, there was no straw (metal or otherwise) with my Sims yerba mate. So my Sim must have also drank some of the powder and stems! 🤒 His cup looked like a coffee cup, but I think it didn't have a handle. I'll have to look next time!
I had always thought the Pastel de Palmito was a pastry and different from hearts of palm that we sometimes have in a salad. But perhaps it is a pastry that has hearts of palm in inside?!?
The only Buñuelos that I am familiar with are the Mexican variety! I didn't know they were often filled with more savory fillings in other countries!
Yes, those headscarves come in handy when it is windy outside! I also will wear them when my hair has a mind of its own!
If I make my Simself with a head scarf, I'll post a picture! But the only problem is if my hair color has the scarf in a color I don't like and would never wear! Plus, right now my hair is longer than the hair with Jungle Adventure head scarf. But I might get my hair cut in a shorter style soon, so maybe them I'll make my Simself!
Yes! That bridge is perilous! It would scare me in real life! The one in the game looks pretty sturdy, but if I had to cross one that was rickety or swayed a lot, while being that high up, I would be terrified!
Turns out there is a Secret Menu at the Puerto Llamante food cart! If your Selvadoran culture is high enough, you can order these dishes:
Baleada
Curanto
Feijoada
🤨 ❤️🥳
Here are some pictures. The first is of the inside of the temple -- there was a long snake-like pool that you had to swim the length of to continue in the temple, but once you "complete" a temple, it resets. So, the next time the interior was completely different! 🥳 The next picture is of one of my Sims after he got hit by a poison dart in the temple! The final picture is of that same Sim fending off a swarm of poisonous bees! 😮😞
Is there anything in particular you would like me to post pictures of (if I can)? 🤔

It may be random how may trees that spawn there. So far only visited once. You did notice that there were an additional portal at the baths, right?
Fully exploring the temple and opening the final treasure chest gave me a lot of goodies including the bone dust that you can exchange for a poison antidote but before that I was lucky enough to survive a poisoning without treatment.:eahigh_file:

Does the emotion tree regenerate every time you go back, or only after a certain amount of days?

Every couple of Sim hours.
