Inventory Duplicates.
After downloading the new game pack (Strangerville), my Sims inventory is keep getting duplicates on every item she has.

I'm not sure if what's happening for my Sim is the same as the author of this thread, but I think it might be. I had no problem with my StrangerVille Sim's inventories until after he defeated the source of the infection. Now he has all the extra leftover items from his investigation; hazmat suit, vaccine, plant clusters, scanning device, clues, key card etc. in duplicate. There is one of each in his personal inventory and the household inventory.
I did all the standard things usually suggested such as, repairing my game, deleting cache files, etc., plus I do not and never have had any Mods or CC, but the problem remains.I have since put other items in his personal inventory, but they do not duplicate to the household inventory, only the StrangerVille investigation items. I'm hesitant to delete them from either inventory because I don't want to lose them in case he or a future family member would like to use them. Anyone else having this problem or know what I can do to fix it so I only have one of each in his personal inventory only?
Should I create another Sim to complete the story and keep an eye on their inventories to see if it happens again? Or perhaps have my Hero Sim revive and go through it again? On a purely unrelated matter (at least I think it's unrelated) my Sim tried to sell clues/information at the Curio stall and it supposedly went through, the items were gone from his inventory. But he never received any simoleons for them. This happened during the investigation though after he'd already found 15 pieces needed for one of the steps. It was an extra recording from the listening device I discovered he didn't really need.

I tried to at least get rid of the duplicate items from the household inventory, but they seem to be permanently stuck in there. Every time I try to 'sell' them or place them on the lot, I get a message that says 'system error.' I also noticed that there is actually 6 more vaccine jars in the household inventory than my Sim has in his personal inventory. I'd like to note also that when my Sim recruited his team he had 12 jars of vaccine. He used three on his team members which left 9. During the fight with Mother, he threw vaccines at her. I thought what he was using would be taken from his personal inventory supply, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Isn't that supposed to happen? I made extra on purpose because I thought that was how it would work.Anyway, so he has 9 jars in his personal inventory and 15 in the household inventory. It seems he has a duplicate of his original 12 jars plus three more. I can only surmise that something glitched out and instead of the vaccine jars disappearing when used as normal, instead they were put in the household inventory. He 'threw' exactly 3 jars of vaccine during the fight, but none of these were taken from his inventory. Everything else related to Strangerville he has in his personal inventory has been exactly duplicated in the household inventory. I hope this helps and a solution can be found so that I can get rid of these duplicates in this save file. Hopefully without having to delete the save. I don't have any backup saves, I clear those out after every play session. It's a habit from when I was using a very old laptop to play the game in an effort to save space and prevent lag.Update #2: Okay, I don't know what to think now. I just got back in my game and I was able to 'sell' all the duplicates in my household inventory. But also, my Sim now only has 6 jars of vaccine in his personal inventory instead of 9 before I cleared the household inventory. lol This is so bizarre (pardon the pun). Well, it seems all is working as it should now for whatever reason. Happy Simming!
