Invisible Decorations (Clutter and Plants CC)

Hello!

It has been a little while since I've been back to playing the game again (stopped right around the Dogs and Cats release). Ever since starting up again, I've been noticing that some of my decorative cc places down invisible similar to how loveseats and bathtubs broke for the DLC patches. It's particularly noticeable with older content by SIMcredible and Jennisims, and I was wondering if there was a way to fix them? As far as I'm aware, Jennisims has not released an update to any of her broken mods and I'm trying to avoid removing her stuff from my game as much as possible since I use her work fairly often. All of their furniture works perfectly fine after I ran the batch fixes for them on S4S, but their clutter and plant decorations still seem to pose issues in my game.

    @Cixeth Please forgive my ignorance as I don't actually use Mods/CC, but I do know that if it's been that long since you played, all of your previously used Mods/CC should all be tracked down to make sure if they have updates, as there have been many changes and updates in the game since then. You may need to replace the items. I suppose it is also possible if you have other Mods/CC that they could be causing a conflict also if not updated. If it were me I would:

    • Make sure all updates are run on your game.
    • Check with the specific CC maker of the missing content for updates and suggestions/workarounds. Even contact them if possible.
    • Try removing all other Mods/CC from the game (copy them to your desktop for safekeeping) and delete the localthumbnailcache.package file in your 'The Sims 4' folder then go in and see if the decoration/clutter items are still missing. This way you can confirm whether any other Mod/CC may be interfering with them.

    @Cixeth, in additions to what @SheriGR  said, if one of your Mods or CC providers is no longer updating those items, you should seriously consider removing them from your game.🤨  They might already be causing problems and it will only get worse as time goes on and EA updates the game like they do before every new pack is released! 😞
