Is 7gb enough to Install The Sims 4 from the disk?

Hi, I’ve been having trouble downloading sims 4 and I hope that someone can be able to help me. It’s been frustrating. First of all I have a laptop that has 32gb overall and I’m left with 7gb which is not enough to play the sims 4. When I was buying I didn’t think of the game but just for other reasons. When I found out that I couldn’t download from origin because I had no space left on my computer, I decided to just get the disk because everything would be stored on there and all I  needed was to install it. So the question is, would 7gb be enough to “install” the game on its own? Would I need to have extra free space as a requirement? If someone would answer this question for me I’d appreciate it.

Aside from the storage issue, it sounds like you have some kind of streaming laptop.  Its hardware probably doesn't even meet the minimum requirements for Sims 4, although if you want to be sure, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post:

Laptops in this class have weak processors with even weaker graphics chips, neither of which is suited to playing games.  The storage is usually not sufficient, as you're seeing, plus they may not have enough memory to effectively run the game.  Even if you could get Sims 4 installed, there's no guarantee that the game would start, or that if it did, you could play without lag, graphics glitches, and constant crashing.  Some computers seem to handle the load better than others; I'm just saying don't count on yours to be able to run the game at all.
